Hi! I'm Megan, Founder & CEO of Hello Headband.
I received my first sewing machine when I was 11 years old and made everything from small zipper pouches for friends to curtains for my bedroom. I even made a pair of pants!
When I was a nursing student, I desperately needed a creative outlet as my anxiety was spiraling. Why headbands? Unlike most other headband businesses, I did not start creating headbands in search for the perfect headband. To be honest, I never wore headbands before I designed my first. As a migraine suffer and a glasses wearer, all I knew was that it had to be extremely stretchy and so comfortable I would forget I was wearing one. I pulled out my dusty sewing machine and began playing around with some old Tshirts. It was 2011 when I designed my first headband.
After almost a year of designing and making for friends and family, I finally decided to take the leap and open an Etsy store.
Seeing all of you babes wearing these headbands, near and far and hearing your feedback and testimonials on how they made you feel when wearing them gave me a new sense of purpose. I decided to step away from nursing school to pursue entrepreneurship and worked more and harder than I ever had.
Fast forward 10 years, I now have my first warehouse located in Peoria, IL and continue to design, cut and sew all of your headbands along with our small team of right here in the Midwest.
Every single headband sold directly affects the lives of our small team and we are forever grateful for each and every one of you for choosing and trusting Hello Headband for that perfect headband.

Here is a photo of my brother and me! I’m wearing my pickle hello headband scrub cap! My brother came to work with me to shadow a total knee surgery! Two reasons why I absolutely love this scrub cap: I LOVE pickles! I’m a die hard pickle girl 🧡 when my brother and I were little, we always ate pickles together! Reason two- I suffer from occipital neuralgia. A painful nerve condition that affects the back of my head. Other scrub caps are so rough and tight on my head and cause my neuralgia to flare up. The hello headband scrub cap is so soft and feels like I’m wearing nothing! The pain is much less noticeable while looking so cute! I’m so grateful I found these! Now 4 other girls at work have ordered some! Can’t wait to get my next one! 😊
